Bakhoor Collection
Bakhoor is the traditional Arabian incense — wood chips soaked in fragrant oils (oud, amber, rose, musk) and burned over charcoal to scent rooms, clothing, and hair. Every Arab household and every Indian Muslim household with roots in Gulf tradition recognises the smell instantly: dense, resinous, smoky-sweet.
The Flora Five Bakhoor attar collection captures that exact olfactive signature in an alcohol-free, roll-on attar oil format. Instead of burning incense, you apply the same notes directly to the skin — and carry bakhoor with you all day.
What's in this collection
- Bakhoor-inspired attar oil — oud, amber, rose, musk, saffron, and sandalwood composed into a wearable bakhoor profile.
- Every bottle is hand-poured in India by Dr. Rai Singh (PhD Chemistry, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University).
- Available in 3ml, 6ml, and 12ml glass roll-on bottles.
Why wear bakhoor as an attar
Traditional bakhoor is room-scenting — you sit in a room that's been burned and the smoke settles into your clothes. The attar version gives you the same notes on skin, without the charcoal, the smoke, or the indoor preparation. It's bakhoor you can wear to the office, to prayer, or travelling.
The sandalwood and jojoba carrier we use holds the resinous bakhoor notes for 8–12 hours on skin — often longer than the burn time of the incense itself.
