Shay Oudh is a Flora Five original — "shay" is Arabic for tea, and this oud pours like a cup shared over embers: olibanum (luban) crackling resinous and bright on top, a slow ribbon of honey running through the middle, and dark agarwood beneath it all, holding on skin for roughly 6–8 hours.

What does Shay Oudh smell like?
Three materials, clearly drawn: luban's peppery, citrus-edged frankincense smoke arrives first, honey then sweetens and thickens it the way sugar dissolves into hot tea, and agarwood anchors the whole cup with dark, woody depth. Simple on paper, surprisingly full in the wearing.

How long does it last?
Roughly 6–8 hours on skin. Both frankincense and agarwood are heavyweight fixatives, and honey binds them together, so this is a genuinely long-wearing oil — many wearers apply it once in the morning and only top up for the evening.

Is it alcohol-free?
Entirely. Shay Oudh is a pure perfume oil with no alcohol whatsoever, which makes it well suited to quiet evenings and everyday wear. Being an oil, it also rests close and warm rather than announcing itself across a room at first.

Is this a good first oud?
Yes — arguably one of the friendliest entries. The honey rounds off the animalic edges that scare newcomers away from raw Hindi ouds, and the frankincense keeps the opening lifted and clean. You get real agarwood character without the barnyard hazing ritual.

How to Apply

Flora Five attars are concentrated, alcohol-free perfume oils. A little goes a long way.

Hold the roll-on to clean, dry skin on pulse points — inner wrists, behind the ears, base of the neck.
Apply one or two gentle swipes. Do not rub — let the oil settle on the skin.
A single application typically lasts about 6–8 hours on skin.
For a stronger trail, reapply lightly after a few hours.
Store upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery then usually takes 3–7 working days, depending on your pincode. You will get a tracking link once your order ships.

Can I exchange or return my order?

Yes. If you are not happy with your fragrance, you can ask for an exchange or store credit within 7 days. A small logistics charge may apply. If your order arrives damaged, contact us straight away and we will send a replacement.
