Saffron attar is a Flora Five original built around the world's most precious spice — the hand-picked stigmas of the crocus flower, worth more than their weight in silver. Here saffron runs golden through every stage: sparked by cardamom, incense and juniper at the top, wrapped in Rose de Mai, suede and plum at the heart, then anchored by oud, amber, sandalwood and vetiver for roughly 10–12 hours on skin.

This is a 100% alcohol-free oil, so it is halal, wearable for prayer and considerate to sensitive skin. Apply sparingly to pulse points — one pass on each wrist and one at the throat is plenty for a spice this assertive — and let it warm for fifteen minutes before judging. Saffron's golden tint means you should keep it well away from white kurtas and pale collars.

Frequently asked questions
What does Saffron smell like?
Genuine saffron is leathery, slightly bitter, honeyed and metallic all at once — nothing like the sweet "saffron" of mainstream perfumery. This attar keeps that complexity: incense and juniper give the opening a dry, temple-like lift, rose and plum soften the middle into something plush, and the oud-amber base turns it smoky and resinous. It smells expensive because the material genuinely is.
How long does it last?
Plan on 10–12 hours on skin. The first 5–7 hours project at a moderate-to-strong level — people in conversation range will notice — after which it becomes a rich second skin. In cooler weather it stretches even further, and on wool or pashmina it can linger for days.
Is it alcohol-free and halal?
Yes, entirely. Saffron is formulated as a concentrated perfume oil with no alcohol whatsoever, making it halal and suitable for wearing to the mosque. Oil also flatters saffron specifically: without alcohol's harsh flash-off, the spice unfolds gradually instead of shouting all at once.
Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
Because Saffron is potent and you will use very little per wear, the 3 ml goes surprisingly far — a fine first purchase. Choose 6 ml if you already love saffron-forward perfumes, and 12 ml if this will headline your winter wardrobe or double as a generous gift.
