Jasmine Sambac attar is a Flora Five original built around mogra — the small night-blooming jasmine that garlands Indian weddings, temple offerings and monsoon evenings. It opens surprisingly green, like crushed grass carrying sambac's ripe banana nuance, before an intensely creamy, honeyed floral heart takes charge and a warm, faintly animalic base of ambergris, benzoin and sandalwood hums on for roughly 8–10 hours on skin.

There is no alcohol in this oil — it is halal, kind to skin and made to be worn close. Dab it where your pulse runs warm: inner wrists, the hollow of the throat, behind the earlobes. Give it twenty minutes; sambac is indolic by nature and needs body heat to turn from sharp to sweet. Avoid rolling it directly onto pale or white clothing.

Frequently asked questions
What does Jasmine Sambac attar smell like?
Like mogra garlands at dusk. The opening is unusually green — cut grass with the soft banana-like nuance sambac is famous for — before the flower itself arrives: creamy, honeyed and intensely heady, closer to the living bloom than any soap-clean jasmine. Ambergris and sandalwood give the base a warm, faintly animalic hum.
How long does it last?
Around 8–10 hours on skin. The indolic heart runs at full power for the first four to five hours, then relaxes into a honeyed musk-and-sandalwood veil. On clothing (avoid whites) traces can still be there the next morning. One roll on each wrist is genuinely enough.
Is it alcohol-free and halal?
Completely. Flora Five attars are concentrated perfume oils with zero alcohol, making them halal and appropriate for namaz, mosque visits and everyday wear. The oil format also means no stinging on freshly shaved or sensitive skin, and no harsh spirit note distorting the opening minutes.
Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
Sambac is potent, so the 3 ml lasts longer than you would expect and makes a low-risk introduction. Choose the 6 ml if you already love mogra and will reach for it weekly. The 12 ml is the best value for devoted white-floral wearers, or for gifting.
At Flora Five, all our attars are meticulously crafted to maintain their authenticity and purity. Each blend is 100% oil-based and free from alcohol, ensuring a rich, long-lasting scent experience.
To preserve the integrity of our attars and protect them from contamination or loss of their distinctive scent profiles, we incorporate essential, non-toxic regulatory substances like antioxidants. These carefully chosen components ensure the longevity and stability of your attar without compromising safety.
While no additional ingredients in our formulations are inherently harmful, we recommend patch testing before full use to rule out any potential allergies. At Flora Five, your safety and satisfaction are as important as the elegance of our fragrances.
