Dior Sauvage Elixir Inspired Attar

Flora Five's Dior Sauvage Elixir inspired attar for men is an alcohol-free, oil-based interpretation of the darker, spice-drenched evolution that is Sauvage Elixir by Christian Dior. Nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom flare over grapefruit, a cool ribbon of lavender bridges the heart, and a dense base of licorice, sandalwood, amber, patchouli and Haitian vetiver burns slowly for roughly 6–8 hours on skin.

Dior Sauvage Elixir inspired attar: fragrance notes

• Top: Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Grapefruit
• Heart: Lavender
• Base: Licorice, Sandalwood, Amber, Patchouli, Haitian Vetiver

How it compares. Our attar captures the recognisable Sauvage Elixir accord — boozy spice, lavender and that near-gourmand licorice-amber base. Without alcohol pushing it outward, the spices smoulder instead of exploding, the slide into the sweet woody base feels more seamless, it wears as a rich aura around you, and it noticeably outlasts the sprayed original between applications.

An entirely alcohol-free composition makes this attar comfortable on all skin types. Warmth is its engine: roll it on the wrists and throat, and the spices will keep unfolding through the evening. A little travels far here — one application before dinner easily sees out the night. Best kept off pale fabrics.

Frequently asked questions

What does Dior Sauvage Elixir attar smell like?
Think of a spice cabinet by candlelight: nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom over a squeeze of grapefruit, cooled briefly by lavender, then melting into licorice, amber, sandalwood and earthy vetiver. It is warmer, sweeter and far more intense than the standard fresh Sauvage profile — a night-out scent through and through.

How long does it last?
Expect roughly 6–8 hours on skin, with a strong scent bubble for the first three to four. The spicy opening mellows within the hour, but the licorice-amber-sandalwood core is remarkably persistent, and clothing can carry it into the next day. Half your usual application is a good starting dose.

How is Flora Five's version different from the original Sauvage Elixir?
Sauvage Elixir is sold as a high-concentration alcohol spray; our rendition is a pure oil. We preserve the spicy-licorice signature, but the oil opens with a velvet glow rather than a punch, keeps the sweetness closer to the skin, stretches the drydown for hours longer, and spares your wallet considerably.

Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
For a scent this potent, 3 ml genuinely lasts — it is the right trial size. Choose 6 ml if this will be your cold-weather regular, and 12 ml if you already know spicy ambers are your lane; per millilitre it is by far the most economical of the three.
