Mukhallat Al Badr attar is a Flora Five original — al badr is Arabic for the full moon, and the blend is built like one: a bright, ceremonial rise of frankincense, saffron, rose and bergamot that slowly wanes into oud, warm spice and jasmine, then sets on a deep sandalwood-leather-clove base, holding on skin for roughly 12–16 hours.

There is no alcohol in this attar — it is a halal, skin-friendly perfume oil from first drop to last. Apply it where blood runs close to the surface: the inside of the wrists, the throat, a touch behind each ear. Warmth is what unfolds the frankincense and spice, so give it ten minutes before judging. Avoid rolling it directly onto white or pale fabric.

Frequently asked questions
What does Mukhallat Al Badr smell like?
Resin first: frankincense lit by bergamot and softened with rose and saffron, so the opening feels ceremonial rather than heavy. As it settles, oud, jasmine and warm spice give it body, and the final hours are all sandalwood, leather and clove — dark, dry and quietly smoky, like a majlis after the incense burner has gone out.
How long does it last?
Around 12–16 hours on skin. The frankincense top burns brightest for the first couple of hours, the oud-amber heart holds through a full workday, and the leather-sandalwood drydown is usually still detectable at bedtime. On cuffs and collars it can linger beyond a day, so apply to skin if you prefer a shorter arc.
Is it alcohol-free and halal?
Yes — completely. Mukhallat Al Badr is a concentrated attar oil with zero alcohol, making it halal and appropriate for the mosque as well as the evening out. Oils also behave differently: nothing burns off in the first minute, so what you smell at hour one is close to what those around you smell at hour six.
Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
The 3 ml roll-on is the sensible first bottle — a strong attar like this needs only one or two swipes, so even the smallest size runs for weeks. Move to 6 ml once it earns a place in your rotation; the 12 ml is for devotees and works out cheapest per millilitre.
