How it compares. Our attar captures the recognisable Voice of the Snake accord — leathery saffron draped over smoky, resinous oud with patchouli binding the two. Because it's a concentrated oil with no alcohol, the opening is softer (no spray "blast"), it develops more slowly, sits closer to the skin, and lasts noticeably longer than an alcohol spray.
There is no alcohol anywhere in this oil, which keeps it halal-friendly and stops it drying or stinging the skin. Apply sparingly: one short roll at each wrist and a touch at the neck is plenty, and your body heat will keep unfolding the oud in waves for hours. Dark oud oils can mark white or light fabric, so let it absorb first.
