Black Oud Intense

Black Oud Intense is a Flora Five original: the darker, stronger counterpart to our Black Oud, as an alcohol-free oud (oudh) oil. Agarwood and saffron arrive together in the very first minute, black pepper and dry spices sharpen them, and a heart of rose, leather and incense — flecked with tangerine and sugar — sinks into sandalwood, patchouli and amber for roughly 12–16 hours on skin.

Why an oil. Front-loaded agarwood, saffron heat and a leather-incense core. As a concentrated oil with no alcohol, it skips the harsh spray blast, unfolds in slow layers, stays nearer the skin, and keeps going long after an alcohol-based spray would have thinned out.

This one is strong, so apply with restraint: a single pass on each wrist and one behind the ear is plenty, and your body heat will keep unfolding it for hours. It is alcohol-free and halal, safe to wear to the masjid, and best kept off light-coloured fabric, where a dark oil this rich can mark.

Exactly what the name promises: the oud arrives in the opening rather than waiting for the base, dusted with saffron, black pepper and dry spices. A rose-leather-incense heart adds depth, with tangerine and sugar keeping it from turning severe. The finish is sandalwood, patchouli, musk and amber — dark, polished, unapologetic.

How long does it last?
Around 12–16 hours on skin. Because agarwood appears in both the opening and the base, there is no thin patch mid-wear; it stays saturated from first swipe to final skin scent. Apply lightly for the office — one swipe — and more generously for winter evenings outdoors.

Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
For a fragrance this strong, 3 ml genuinely lasts a month or more of regular wear — a fair trial. Choose 6 ml if you already enjoy dark ouds, and 12 ml if this will be your cold-weather signature; per millilitre it is the most economical.
