Iris Violet attar is a Flora Five original — our homage to the cool, powdery elegance of orris root, the buttery heart of an iris rhizome that perfumers age for years before use. A lively splash of exotic fruits, apple and Italian bergamot keeps the opening bright, iris, rose and jasmine form a suede-soft floral heart, and cashmeran, white musk, benzoin and vanilla wrap it all in a gently resinous warmth that lasts roughly 6–8 hours on skin.

What does Iris Violet attar smell like?
Powder and petals with a fruit-bright introduction. The first minutes are juicy — apple, mixed exotic fruits and a squeeze of Italian bergamot — before the heart turns cool and refined: iris with its signature makeup-powder softness, rounded by rose and a touch of jasmine. Underneath, white musk, benzoin and vanilla create a clean, cosy finish with a faint cedar-and-incense shadow that keeps it from becoming plain sweet.

How long does it last?
About 6–8 hours on skin in typical Indian weather. The fruity top is at its liveliest in the first hour; the iris-musk heart carries the middle of the day; and by evening you're left with a soft benzoin-vanilla skin scent. Two rolled points in the morning and one light refresh after sunset will see you through a very long day.

Is it alcohol-free?
Yes. Like every Flora Five attar, Iris Violet is a 100% alcohol-free perfume oil. The oil base is also kinder to skin than alcohol sprays — there's no stinging on application and no drying effect, which is one reason attars have been worn directly on pulse points for centuries.

Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
For a first meeting with iris — a note people tend to either adore or take time to warm to — the 3 ml trial size is the sensible start. Choose the 6 ml if powdery florals already have a place in your rotation, and the 12 ml if you want this as an everyday signature; per millilitre it is the best value of the three.
