Flora Five's Bin Sheikh oudh is an alcohol-free, oil-based interpretation of the majlis-ready bakhoor character of Ard Al Zaafaran Bin Shaikh. French lavender, saffron and rose lift off over citrus and oakmoss, sugared bakhoor smoke and jasmine fill the heart, and agarwood with amber resins, ambroxan, patchouli and white musk anchor it for roughly 12–16 hours on skin.

Bin Shaikh |
How it compares. Our oudh keeps the recognisable Bin Shaikh accord — saffron and bakhoor smoke riding an oud-amber base. As an alcohol-free oil concentrate the incense unfurls softly instead of erupting, the resins take their time to bloom, the aura stays intimate rather than room-filling, and its endurance on skin outstrips the sprayed original.
Entirely alcohol-free, this oudh is suited to halal wear, prayer included, and is gentle where sprays can be harsh. Anoint the wrists, neck and the skin behind your ears and let your warmth draw the smoke out slowly; keep it off white garments — dark resinous oils may mark them.

Frequently asked questions
What does Bin Sheikh oudh smell like?
Like walking into a majlis where bakhoor has been burning — sweet incense smoke, saffron and rose over French lavender, a sugared jasmine-orchid heart, and a resonant base of agarwood, amber resins, ambroxan, patchouli and white musk. Rich and unmistakably Arabian, yet polished enough for daily confidence.
How long does it last?
About 12–16 hours on skin, in line with oud-and-amber compositions. The bakhoor-saffron phase projects boldly for the first half of the wear, and the oud-musk base remains as a warm skin veil deep into the next day. A little truly goes a long way.
How is Flora Five's version different from the original Bin Shaikh?
The original Bin Shaikh is an alcohol-based spray; ours is a concentrated oudh oil. The saffron-bakhoor-oud storyline is intact, but without alcohol the smoke opens gently instead of shouting, the resins develop unhurried, and each application clings to skin far longer than the spray manages.
Is this a good first oud?
It can be, if you like your introduction on the ornate side. The oud here is wrapped in sugar, bakhoor and florals, so it feels inviting rather than raw. If you'd prefer a quieter first step, start with the 3 ml and wear it in the evening before committing to a larger bottle.
