Flora Five's Tom Ford Arabian Oud attar is an alcohol-free, oil-based interpretation of the majlis-worthy opulence of Tom Ford Arabian Oud. Resinous oud and Brazilian rosewood stride in first, brightened by a pinch of cardamom; Sichuan pepper, sandalwood and vetiver keep the heart dry and smouldering before tonka bean, vanilla and amber melt beneath it — lasting roughly 12–16 hours on skin.

Tom Ford Arabian Oud |
How it compares. Our attar captures the recognisable Arabian Oud accord — dense, resinous oud rounded by peppered sandalwood over a sweet tonka-amber floor. Because it's a concentrated oil with no alcohol, the opening is softer (no spray "blast"), it develops more slowly, sits closer to the skin, and lasts noticeably longer than an alcohol spray.
With zero alcohol in the bottle, this oudh is halal-friendly and gentle on skin. Roll a little onto your wrists, the base of your throat and behind the ears, then give your body heat twenty minutes to unpack the layers. Oils this rich can shadow light-coloured cloth, so wear it on skin rather than on your whites.

Frequently asked questions
What does Tom Ford Arabian Oud smell like?
Deep, woody and regal: oud and rosewood up top, a spiced sandalwood-vetiver core, and a plush finish of tonka bean, vanilla and amber. It is smoky and serious in the first hour, then grows steadily warmer and sweeter — closer to a majlis than a nightclub.
How long does it last?
Roughly 12–16 hours on skin, with the amber-tonka base often outlasting a full workday and the evening after it. On shawls and collars the trail can greet you the next morning. Start with a single swipe; this concentration rewards restraint.
How is Flora Five's version different from the original Arabian Oud?
Ours is a perfume oil, not an eau de parfum: with no alcohol, the top notes arrive gently instead of in a burst, the drydown stretches far longer, and the scent hugs the body rather than announcing you from across the room. We set out to honour the character, not copy the chemistry — at a fraction of the price.
Is this a good first oud?
Yes. The cardamom top and vanilla-amber base cushion the oud, so it reads rich rather than raw or barnyard-leaning. If Western oud sprays have felt screechy to you, this smoother, oil-based take is an easy door into the family.
