Sadaf attar is a Flora Five original — "sadaf" means mother-of-pearl in Arabic and Urdu, and the composition has that same quality of quiet lustre. Sun-warmed rose, bergamot and orange open the shell; inside sits a smooth accord of saffron, dry cedar, powdery orris and geranium that only grows richer as it dries, holding for roughly 6–8 hours on skin.

Like every Flora Five oil, Sadaf is made without a drop of alcohol, and it is gentle on skin. Warm the roller ball briefly between your palms, then touch it to the wrists, the sides of the neck and behind the ears. Your body heat does the rest over the next quarter hour. Keep the oil away from white shirts and light fabrics, as saffron can tint them.

What does Sadaf smell like?
Think of a rose petal dusted with saffron threads and laid on a cedar plank. The citrus in the opening is brief and polite; the real story is the heart, where leathery-golden saffron meets pencil-shaving cedar and the cool, suede-like powder of orris. Because the drydown carries the same quartet deeper, Sadaf stays remarkably consistent — what you love in hour two is still there at hour six, just softer and warmer.

How long does it last?
Roughly 6–8 hours on skin, with a moderate-to-strong presence for the first 3–4. Saffron and cedar are tenacious materials in oil form, so expect traces on your collar and watch strap the following morning. Two light swipes are enough for a full workday and the commute home.

Is it alcohol-free?
Yes. Sadaf is a 100% alcohol-free concentrated perfume oil. The absence of alcohol also changes how it behaves: no sharp opening blast, a slower and smoother development, and a scent that sits intimately on the skin rather than filling a room.

Which size should I choose — 3, 6 or 12 ml?
The 3 ml is the sensible trial size — saffron-cedar compositions read differently on every skin, so test it through a few wears first. Move to 6 ml for steady rotation, or 12 ml if this becomes your cool-weather signature; the larger bottle works out cheapest per wear and lasts months of regular use.

How to Apply

Flora Five attars are concentrated, alcohol-free perfume oils. A little goes a long way.

Hold the roll-on to clean, dry skin on pulse points — inner wrists, behind the ears, base of the neck.
Apply one or two gentle swipes. Do not rub — let the oil settle on the skin.
A single application typically lasts about 6–8 hours on skin.
For a stronger trail, reapply lightly after a few hours.
Store upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery then usually takes 3–7 working days, depending on your pincode. You will get a tracking link once your order ships.

Can I exchange or return my order?

Yes. If you are not happy with your fragrance, you can ask for an exchange or store credit within 7 days. A small logistics charge may apply. If your order arrives damaged, contact us straight away and we will send a replacement.
