Black currant, aldehydes and bergamot give the opening a tart, sparkling snap; geranium and iris sharpen and powder the rose at the heart; and patchouli, cedar and musk lay a shadowed, elegant base that carries roughly 6–8 hours on skin.

The composition is entirely alcohol-free, so it is free of the harsh top-note screech that alcohol gives sharp florals. Trace the roller along your wrists and either side of your neck; as your skin warms, the rose blooms out of the tart opening. Keep the oil off white or cream fabric, where it can leave a shadow.

A grown-up, tailored rose. It opens tart and slightly fizzy — black currant and aldehydes over bergamot — before the heart reveals a rose that geranium keeps green and iris keeps powdery. Is it alcohol-free?

Apply one or two gentle swipes. Do not rub — let the oil settle on the skin.
